Peter Krüger

Biography: 

Peter Krüger (°1970, Ghent) is active as a writer, director and producer. He obtained an MA in Philosophy at the University of Leuven in 1993 and has completed courses of the MEDIA Programme (such as script writing and producing) and master classes in actors’ direction, cinematography and opera-direction.

In 1993 Peter co-founded Inti Films, an independent production company wich focusses on the production of creative documentaries and director’s films with a trans-national relevance and for an international market (www.intifilms.com).

As a director Peter has made documentaries, theatre-play and fiction films. Some of his work includes ‘Nazareth’, ‘Poets of Mongolia’, ‘The Eclypse of Saint-Gillis’, ‘Roberte’s Dance, ‘The Strange Man’, the theareproduction ‘N’ , ‘Antwerp-Central’, a.o. In most of his work Peter mingles fiction and documentary. His images and sounds make us wonder about the mysteries of our existence. Currenty Peter is realizing a feature documentary called ‘N’, set in West-Africa. He is also writing his first feature film, called ‘Continental Drift’.

During several years Peter has been teaching documentary and filmfinancing at the film school in Brussels and has conducted guest seminars on filmdirection and production. He also often works as a script consultant for feature films, such as the award-winning films ‘Khadak’, ‘Altiplano’, ‘The Invader’, ‘Silent Spring’, a.o...

Peter is also an active member of the documentary selection commission and the general assembly of the Flemish Film Fund VAF.
